The Aceh Police (Polda) has ensured that the construction of permanent housing (huntap) being built by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) for residents affected by hydrometereological disasters in Aceh Tamiang Regency is proceeding according to schedule to ensure timely completion.

Kombes Pol Joko Krisdiyanto, Head of the Public Relations Division of Polda Aceh, stated in Banda Aceh on Monday that a total of 76 housing units are being constructed by Polri in Simpang Kanan Village, Kejuruan Muda Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

“We ensure the construction of these housing units proceeds according to schedule, so that the completion progress is timely. In addition to timeliness, we also ensure the building quality conforms to the plan,” he said.

Joko Krisdiyanto noted that of the 76 housing units being constructed, 34 units are Type 36 prefabricated houses. The construction progress of these 34 units has reached 38 per cent.

“Field supervision of the housing construction is carried out regularly to ensure that work at each stage proceeds according to standards and on schedule,” said Joko Krisdiyanto.

He stated that the construction of permanent housing for residents affected by flash flooding in late November 2025 in Aceh Tamiang Regency represents the Police’s support for post-disaster recovery.

Upon completion of the permanent housing, he said, disaster-affected residents can recover and rebuild, so that the economic activities and social stability of communities in the disaster area can return to normal.

“The Police reaffirm their commitment to continue to be present and contribute at every stage of disaster recovery. This presence is a manifestation of dedication to the community, nation, and state,” said Joko Krisdiyanto.
