Aceh hotels booked solid

BANDA ACEH: Local and foreign journalists have been flocking to Aceh, causing many hotels and inns here to be fully booked in the run-up to the separatist Free Aceh Movement's (GAM) 23rd anniversary on Saturday.

An employee of Sultan Hotel, Laura, said here on Wednesday that only five rooms were occupied by non-media guests out of its total capacity of 40 rooms.

Apart from Indonesian journalists, reporters were present from media all over the world, such as Japan, Britain and France.

Antara quoted an employee of Kuala Tripa Hotel who said her hotel was "almost full with people from the media".
