SUBULUSSALAM – Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf has requested the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to immediately close PT MSB II in the city of Subulussalam, on Wednesday (16/7).

The request was submitted by the Aceh Governor through a letter numbered 500.10/7816, marked as urgent, regarding the temporary closure of PT Mandiri Sawit Bersama (MSB) II, which operates in Kampong Namo Buaya, Sultan Daulat District, Subulussalam City.

The letter, obtained from Aceh Provincial Secretariat Assistant Zulkifli, contains four points. He stated that after spending several days at the location, his team immediately discussed the findings at PT MSB II and conducted an in-depth review.

As a result, Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf directly wrote to the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM on 24 June 2025. The contents of the letter are as follows:

1. In connection with the letter from the Mayor of Subulussalam Number 500.4.4.24/445/2025 dated 23 May 2025 regarding the above matter, several findings indicate that PT MSB II has not fulfilled the required documentation, as detailed in the attached letter.

2. Based on verification by the Aceh Government Team, PT MSB II is a Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) entity under the authority of the Central Government. Several additional violations were found that require further investigation (field verification minutes attached).

3. In light of the above and given that Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) falls under the authority of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, the Governor has requested the Minister's consideration for the temporary closure of PT MSB II whilst providing guidance to the company.

4. The letter concludes with an expression of gratitude for the Minister's attention.

Field observations indicate that PT MSB II, which operates a palm oil processing mill, continues to operate as normal.
