Aceh Flood Relief Task Force Distributes Presidential Aid to Bireuen Flood Victims; Permanent Housing to be Built After Eid

The Aceh Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (PRR) distributed aid for flood victims in Bireuen Regency on Monday, 16 March 2026.

The assistance comprised presidential aid from President Prabowo, delivered directly by Dr Safrizal ZA, Head of the Aceh PRR Task Force Regional Post.

The aid distribution took place symbolically at the Bireuen Administrative Building. The event was attended by Bireuen Regent H. Mukhlis, Bireuen Deputy Regent H. Razuardi Ibrahim, Acting Bireuen Regional Secretary Hanafiah, and numerous departmental heads.

In addition, 600 kitchen equipment packages were distributed to support the daily needs of affected residents.

The Director-General of Regional Administration Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs requested that victim data be compiled in detail based on names and addresses to ensure aid reaches the correct recipients.

Should all preparations proceed smoothly, construction of permanent housing for flood victims is targeted to commence after Eid.

“God willing, if there are no further obstacles, permanent housing construction will begin immediately after Eid,” concluded Safrizal.
