REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDA ACEH – The Aceh Customs Office has launched data literacy products in the form of a book on Aceh’s export and import commodities, along with infographics on key commodities. This launch demonstrates the Aceh Customs Office’s commitment to transparency in managing government data and providing a reliable regional economic reference.

The Head of the Aceh Customs Office, M Rizki Baidillah, stated that they are continuously striving to present data that meets the ‘readiness criteria’ so that it can become a source of public literacy that is transparent and easy to understand.

“The public has the right to know clearly the commodities that have the potential for export and import in their region. Therefore, we present this data as a tool to see the real economic conditions of the region and also as a basis for making targeted fiscal policies,” he said in a statement on Thursday (June 4, 2026).

According to the data presented, Aceh’s foreign trade activity throughout 2025 shows positive performance. The energy and mining sectors remain the main contributors to export earnings, accounting for 66.98 percent.

Meanwhile, in the import sector, strategic commodities are dominated by propane and butane, accounting for 92.12 percent. This figure reinforces Aceh’s position as a distribution hub for energy to meet the needs of the northern Sumatra region.

In addition to presenting statistical data in the form of a digital book (e-book), the Aceh Customs Office also packages this information in the form of more interactive and communicative commodity infographics. This step is expected to make it easier for the public to understand the data without having to go through a complicated bureaucratic process.

The Aceh Export and Import Commodity Book and commodity infographics are now openly accessible to partner agencies, business actors, academics, students, and the general public through the official website of the PPID Aceh Customs Office at the following link: https://kanwilaceh.beacukai.go.id/ppid/infografis-penerimaan.html.

“Through the presentation of transparent and accurate data, the Aceh Customs Office is committed to continuously supporting regional economic growth while strengthening efforts towards the predicate of the Integrity Zone of Clean and Serving Bureaucracy (WBBM) in 2026,” Rizki concluded.
