Accused of Recruiting Volunteers Not in Line with SOP, SPPG Nungga Partner in Bima Speaks Out
The partner of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in Nungga, Rasanae Timur sub-district, Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Fadli, has finally spoken out regarding the recruitment of volunteers accused of not following standard operating procedures (SOP) and being rife with nepotism. This nutritious free meal kitchen (MBG) was previously confronted by a group of women.
Fadli stated that the entire process and stages of selecting SPPG Nungga volunteers were based on the operational needs of the kitchen, including internal management considerations.
“Accused of nepotism and deemed not in line with SOP in recruiting volunteers, we will conduct a re-evaluation,” Fadli told detikBali on Monday (11/5/2026).
According to Fadli, the step is taken to avoid misunderstandings in the community. For him, the MBG programme is present to help the community and open job opportunities, not to create conflict.
“We are also open to conducting transparent clarifications and prioritising good communication with relevant parties,” Fadli explained.
Fadli recounted that around 180 people applied to become SPPG Nungga volunteers. However, only 30 were accepted, in line with the number of beneficiaries (PM) in the initial wave.
“If the number of beneficiaries increases, we will add more volunteers. Clearly, we accept volunteers according to the number of MBG programme beneficiaries,” Fadli clarified.
Fadli expressed apologies if there were aspects in the recruitment process deemed unclear or disappointing. Future selection mechanisms will be improved to be more open, orderly, and in accordance with regulations.
“We appreciate all aspirations and input from the community regarding the SPPG Nungga volunteer recruitment process. This will serve as material for our future improvements,” Fadli stated.
Previously reported, a number of women protested at the MBG programme kitchen in Nungga ward, Rasanae Timur sub-district, Bima City, NTB. They protested because the SPPG volunteer recruitment was deemed not in line with SOP and full of nepotism.
This protest action by the women was known from several video clips uploaded by the Facebook account @Nurul Haqiqi on Sunday (10/5/2026). The uploaded video showed a number of women voicing their aspirations regarding SPPG volunteer recruitment.
“That incident happened this afternoon. We protested against the SPPG Nungga regarding the recruitment of MBG kitchen volunteers or employees that did not follow SOP,” said Nurul when confirmed by detikBali.
