Accompanied by Wife and Twin Children for Eid Prayer, West Bandung Regent Jeje Promises This to the Community
West Bandung Regent, Jeje Ritchi Ismail, performed Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah prayers at As-Sidiq Mosque in the West Bandung Regency Office Complex on Saturday (21/3/2026). He was accompanied by his wife, Syahnaz Sadiqah, and his twin children, Zyan Sadavir Ezhilan Ismail and Zunaira Alessia Safaraz Ismail.
After the prayers and listening to the sermon, the brother-in-law of artist and Presidential Special Envoy for Youth Development Raffi Ahmad continued with mushafahah, or handshakes for mutual forgiveness, with Civil Servants (ASN) and the community.
“We were able to hold the Eid Prayer at As-Sidiq Mosque earlier; Alhamdulillah, today’s congregation is larger than last year’s. On behalf of myself and the West Bandung government, we apologise if there have been many shortcomings during our leadership so far,” said Jeje.
Jeje also promised to improve public services to the community going forward. This is especially after receiving much input and criticism from the public regarding services during his tarling (Ramadan outreach visits) in the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.
“So for every visit, we bring along the relevant OPD (regional government organisations), so we can discuss directly and produce solutions,” stated Jeje.
On this joyous occasion, Jeje also extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to the community, including media colleagues who always collaborate and critique his administration when a policy is deemed inappropriate by the public. “In essence, I want to wish a happy Lebaran, Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah to all West Bandung residents and to my media colleagues as well; please forgive me lahir batin if I have made many mistakes and shortcomings so far. Insya Allah, going forward, we will together improve ourselves, especially to build a better West Bandung,” he concluded.
After completing the Eid al-Fitr prayers and the handshakes for forgiveness, Jeje and his family immediately left the location to continue the holiday celebrations with their extended family.
