Accompanied by Selvi Ananda, Gibran Attends 2026 Annual Session and Joint Session
The MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD were held at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, today. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived accompanied by his wife, Selvi Ananda.
According to observations on Friday (14/8/2026), leaders of the MPR, DPR, DPD and various government officials gradually arrived through the entrance of the Nusantara Building. Presidential security forces lined the corridor leading to the entrance of the ‘turtle’ building.
Gibran arrived at 07:51 WIB. His arrival was greeted by Deputy Speakers of the DPR, Saan Mustopa and Yorrys Raweyai. Gibran was seen wearing a black suit and white shirt, while Selvi wore a kebaya.
Among those already present at the venue were MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani, MPR Deputy Speakers Eddy Soeparno, Bambang Wuryanto, and Rusdi Kirana. Also in attendance were the 7th President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the 11th Vice President Boediono, the wife of the 4th President Sinta Nuriyah, and the daughter of the 4th President Yenny Wahid.
Cabinet members present included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Trade Minister Budi Santoso, Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Minister Yandri Susanto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi, Religious Affairs Minister Nassarudin Umar, Social Affairs Minister Saiful Yusuf, and Minister of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widiyantini.
During the Annual Session and Joint Session, President Prabowo Subianto will deliver a report on the performance of state institutions and a state address in celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The speech will be delivered twice, in the morning and afternoon.
