Accompanied by Hotman Paris, Febrie Adriansyah Questioned as a Suspect
Lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea has stated that he has been appointed as the legal counsel for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Ardiansyah. Hotman said he accompanied Febrie during questioning today.
Based on observations on Friday (17/7/2026), Hotman Paris arrived at the Attorney General’s Office building at 09.45 WIB. Hotman and his team were seen entering through the basement.
“Yes. The power of attorney was formalised this morning,” Hotman said when asked whether he was Febrie Ardiansyah’s lawyer.
He also confirmed that his visit to the Attorney General’s Office today was to accompany Febrie Ardiansyah, who was being questioned as a suspect.
For context, the case ensnaring Febrie was initially handled by the police. The police then transferred the handling of the three alleged corruption cases involving Febrie to the Attorney General’s Office.
Most recently, the Attorney General’s Office has formed a special team of nine prosecutors, or Tim 9, to continue the investigation into Febrie’s case. The team is predominantly staffed by prosecutors who previously served at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
