Accompanied by Gibran, Prabowo Leads Pancasila Day Ceremony at Foreign Ministry
JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto led the Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony at the Pancasila Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) in Central Jakarta on Monday, 1 June 2026.
The head of state arrived at the Pancasila Building around 9:35 am WIB.
Shortly after, a vehicle carrying Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs complex.
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming’s procession arrived at the venue around 9:38 am WIB before proceeding to the main hall of the Pancasila Building ahead of the ceremony.
President Prabowo, as the ceremony inspector, received honours and a report from ceremony commander Colonel Inf Didin Nasruddin Darsono that the event was ready to commence.
“Proceed!” Prabowo instructed the ceremony commander to begin on Monday.
Prabowo then led attendees in a moment of silence to honour fallen national heroes.
“Comrades, let us bow our heads to remember the contributions and souls of our predecessors and heroes. Moment of silence, begin,” Prabowo requested.
The ceremony continued with the reading of the Pancasila text by MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, followed by the reading of the 1945 Constitution’s preamble by DPD Chairman Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin.
Following the readings, President Prabowo delivered his address.
Attendees included former fifth President and BPIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, former tenth and twelfth Vice President Jusuf Kalla, former thirteenth Vice President Maruf Amin, MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, DPD Chairman Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahli Lahadalia, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Muti, and other Merah Putih Cabinet ministers.
