Accompanied by Didit, Prabowo Greets Residents During Halalbihalal at the Palace

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto directly greeted residents participating in the halalbihalal event in commemoration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah at the Istana complex, Jakarta, on Saturday (21/03/2026). Kompas.com observations at the location around 3:00 PM WIB showed Prabowo’s arrival being met with enthusiastic shouts from the public who had been waiting inside the event tent. Upon entering the tent area located in the central courtyard of the Istana, Prabowo appeared accompanied by his only son, Didit Hediprasetyo. “Pak, Bapak, Pak Didit,” shouted several excited housewives extending their hands upon seeing the Head of State’s presence near the entrance. Besides his son, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi were also present, accompanying the President as he greeted the residents. Upon arriving in the room, Prabowo immediately shook hands with the guests who were already lined up neatly in the provided space. Prabowo was seen walking around the room to shake hands one by one with the residents he passed. The atmosphere inside the tent erupted with shouts from residents eager to see the number one figure in Indonesia up close. “That’s Pak Prabowo, that’s Pak Prabowo,” exclaimed other residents while capturing the rare moment using their mobile phones. This moment became the highlight of the halalbihalal event series at the Istana, where residents from various regions had the opportunity to interact directly with the President on the day of victory.
