Accommodating Public Aspirations, Pertamina Patra Niaga Strengthens Petrol Station Services
Jakarta, VIVA – Pertamina Patra Niaga has affirmed that the company understands the difficulties and aspirations of the public regarding fuel services at a number of petrol stations in Makassar. It has apologised for the inconvenience experienced by the public over recent days.
Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to take various recovery measures to ensure the public’s fuel needs are met and services at petrol stations return to optimal levels.
“Pertamina Patra Niaga understands the difficulties and aspirations of the public. We apologise for the inconvenience that has occurred. We have taken various recovery measures and continue to strengthen them, including together with the Joint Task Force in the field. We see that queuing conditions at a number of petrol stations in Makassar are gradually improving, with services becoming increasingly normal,” said Deny Sukendar, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, in a statement issued on Tuesday, 15 September 2026.
As part of the recovery effort, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi has taken a number of steps to increase service capacity at petrol stations. These include extending petrol station operating hours, strengthening and increasing fuel supplies, adding nozzles and operators at several petrol stations, and adding Fuel Service Task Force Outlets. These measures are intended to speed up service and ease the congestion of queues occurring in the field.
In its implementation, Pertamina Patra Niaga also continues to strengthen coordination with the regional government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and all relevant stakeholders through the Joint Task Force. The Joint Task Force carries out direct monitoring and supervision in the field, including helping to manage and disperse queues at petrol stations and ensuring fuel services run in an orderly and well-targeted manner. This synergy is an important part of accelerating recovery whilst maintaining the smooth distribution of fuel to the public.
In addition to handling matters in the field, Pertamina Patra Niaga also continues to provide information to the public through the official social media account of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, Instagram @pertaminasulawesi. Information regarding service conditions and petrol station operations is shared regularly so that the public can obtain up-to-date, easily accessible and transparent information about fuel service developments in Makassar.
Currently, fuel services at petrol stations in the Makassar area have gradually returned to normal and queuing conditions are improving. Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to ensure supply availability, the readiness of facilities and petrol station services, and to strengthen coordination with the Joint Task Force and all stakeholders to maintain smooth service.
