Accident kills three artists

BATANG, Central Java: A bus full of artists returning home
after performing in Jakarta collided on Monday with a truck,
killing three passengers and injuring nine others.

The driver of the Langsung Jaya bus, exhausted after many
hours of driving, lost control of the vehicle and hit the parked
truck on Sengon road in the Subah district.

The injured victims were treated at the Siti Khotidjah
Hospital in Pekalongan.

Pekalongan police chief Col. Bani Siswono told The Jakarta
Post that the bodies of the three victims have been sent home to
Karanganyar. (wah)
