Accident Compensation During Eid Exodus Reaches Rp 38 Billion
JAKARTA – During the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming period, Jasa Raharja demonstrated its crucial role not only in post-accident handling but also in ensuring that compensation for victims is delivered quickly and accurately. The total compensation disbursed serves as one of the key indicators in measuring service performance during the peak travel and return periods. Jasa Raharja’s President Director, Muhammad Awaluddin, stated that the agency’s role extends beyond handling victims after accidents occur. These efforts have yielded positive results. Based on data from the National Traffic Police Corps on 13–25 March, the number of accidents recorded decreased by around 5 per cent, while the number of fatalities dropped significantly by up to 30 per cent compared to the previous period. On the other hand, the amount of compensation disbursed has become the main focus. Jasa Raharja recorded that from 13–29 March, the total compensation disbursed reached Rp 38.06 billion. “No victim should have to wait. That is our commitment, and that is what we have proven. All compensation for fatalities, including from major accidents, has been settled in accordance with applicable regulations,” Awaluddin said in an official statement on 31 March 2026. This commitment is reinforced by a digital-based service transformation that is increasingly integrated. This step also aligns with the zero-pending-claim target, where all compensation for fatalities can be settled on time without delays.
