Access to Contraflow at KM 55 Closed, Redirected to KM 47–65

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Traffic engineering adjustments are once again being implemented on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section to anticipate a surge in vehicles during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming period. One significant change is the temporary closure of the contraflow entry access at KM 55, which has now been redirected to another point. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), in collaboration with the police, has decided to redirect the contraflow access via KM 47 to KM 65. This policy was enforced starting at 10:05 WIB as part of efforts to ease density at crucial points. Vice President of Corporate Secretary and Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, emphasised that the company is continuously monitoring and evaluating traffic conditions. “JTT, together with the police and related stakeholders, continues to conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of traffic conditions to ensure that the implemented engineering runs optimally,” said Ria Marlinda Paallo in a written statement on Sunday (22/3/2026). Directions from on-site officers also serve as the primary reference in maintaining safety while passing through the temporary route. In addition, drivers are urged to adjust their vehicle speeds and ensure their vehicles are in prime condition before undertaking the journey. Sufficiency of e-money balance should also be ensured to avoid obstacles during transactions at toll gates. This contraflow access adjustment is expected to improve traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, particularly during peak vehicle periods, while minimising the risk of long queues on the main route.
