Access from JIS Station to the Stadium: Less Than a 5-Minute Walk
Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station is now operational following its inauguration by Acting Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung yesterday. There are three access routes to the station that prospective passengers can use.
Based on observations at the location on Tuesday (23/6/2026), the first access point uses an entrance on Jalan RE Martadinata. This entrance is right beside the road and is wide enough for two people to pass each other. In front of the entrance, a KRL ticket counter is available. A walkway beside it leads to stairs providing access to JIS Stadium and to Jalan Carnaval Ancol or RE Martadinata.
The walking time from JIS Station to the stadium is approximately two to three minutes. Pedestrians must use the stairs and a footbridge (JPO) to reach the stadium. The footbridge is quite wide, with tall fencing encircling the walkway, though the fence does not completely enclose the path.
To reach JIS Station via KRL, passengers must board a train heading to Jakarta Kota Station. From Jakarta Kota Station, the route passes through Kampung Bandan Station and Ancol Station before proceeding directly to Tanjung Priok Station. The KRL does not stop at JIS Station first because there is currently only one platform. Therefore, the train must transit at Tanjung Priok Station before departing back towards Jakarta Kota Station. From Tanjung Priok Station, the KRL then stops at JIS Station.
