Jakarta — The Director General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Teguh Setyabudi, has reaffirmed that the agency continues to accelerate the registration and ownership of civil identity documents for all Indonesian citizens.

These efforts are being carried out through mobile outreach services that target various regions, including remote and inland community areas. Dukcapil is not simply waiting for citizens to come to government offices to handle civil administration matters. Through collaboration with all regional Dukcapil offices, active services are being delivered directly to communities.

These services are being provided at various locations, including schools, shopping centres, subdistrict offices, and frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped regions (3T) that face infrastructure limitations.

According to Teguh, Dukcapil officers are also reaching communities in inland areas to ensure that no residents lack civil identity documents. “We visit areas with difficult infrastructure access, including inland ethnic communities. We identify who does not yet have civil identity documents,” he stated.

The central Dukcapil office will deploy personnel directly to strengthen service delivery in these regions. This approach ensures that all citizens possess complete civil identity documents and can access various public services without obstruction.

Teguh emphasised that civil identity documents form the basis for nearly all government services. “Civil identity documents are the foundation of all public services. Beyond public services, they are essential for social development planning, budget allocation, democratic development, law enforcement, and crime prevention,” he explained.

Accordingly, Dukcapil is committed to continuing the expansion of service coverage to ensure that all Indonesians are registered and possess complete civil identity documents.
