Bank Jakarta is accelerating its business transformation amid increasingly competitive changes in the banking industry. The transformation focuses on strengthening performance, innovating services, and adapting to shifts in customer behaviour.

Bank Jakarta’s President Director, Agus Haryoto Widodo, stated that industry pressures make transformation unavoidable. “Expectations for Bank Jakarta are growing ever higher, so in these conditions, there is no choice but to change continuously,” said Agus on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Agus explained that the company continues to bolster its business foundations through improved service quality and innovation. These efforts align with technological advancements and increasingly open competition.

Bank Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, said the strategy aims to position the bank beyond just a financial institution. “Through various initiatives, Bank Jakarta is optimistic about continuing to accelerate and taking on a greater role than merely a bank, namely as an enabler of Jakarta’s growth as a global city,” said Arie.

Thanks to these transformations, Bank Jakarta received several awards at the TOP BUMD Awards 2026 held in Jakarta on Monday (13/4/2026). Bank Jakarta won the TOP BUMD Awards 2026 BPD Bintang 5 (Excellent), while Agus Haryoto Widodo was named TOP CEO BUMD 2026.

Agus Haryoto said the award serves as motivation to maintain consistent performance improvements. “It is a source of pride for us to continue delivering the best services and contributing to the development of the City of Jakarta,” said Agus.

The TOP BUMD Awards evaluate BUMD performance through several stages, from questionnaires and in-depth interviews to jury panel sessions. The assessment covers aspects of business performance, innovation, governance, and contributions to the regional economy.
