Jakarta – The President Director of PT KAI, Bobby Rasyidin, accompanied the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, in inspecting several plots of land owned by KAI in various locations across the Jakarta region.

This activity serves as a follow-up to President Prabowo’s instructions, aimed at accelerating the arrangement of settlement areas around railway lines and preparing more decent housing for the community.

Minister of PKP, Maruarar Sirait, also known as Ara, stated that the government continues to push for the acceleration of providing decent housing for the community through cross-sectoral collaboration.

“The synergy between the government, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector has produced concrete steps in the form of readiness to build high-rise housing on state land, specifically targeted at low- and middle-income communities,” said Ara in his statement on Sunday, 5 April 2026.

COO of Danantara and Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Body (BP BUMN), Dony Oskaria, conveyed that land preparation and housing construction are part of the government and state-owned enterprises’ commitment to providing benefits to the community.

He emphasised that collaboration between ministries and state-owned enterprises is a key factor in accelerating the realisation of housing programmes in various regions, particularly in areas with high population density.

“This programme is part of our commitment to providing decent housing for the community. Through synergy between the Ministry and state-owned enterprises, we are optimistic that housing provision can proceed more quickly and provide broader benefits for the Indonesian people,” said Dony.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT KAI, Bobby Rasyidin, added that this inspection is part of the acceleration steps in the process of inventorying areas and compiling arrangements carried out gradually and measurably.

“KAI will immediately conduct an inventory of community settlements around the railway lines, starting from priority points and expanding to other regions. This step runs concurrently with securing railway areas and coordination with relevant ministries for preparing housing solutions,” he said.

The inspection was conducted using an Inspection Train, traversing the Tanah Abang to Kampung Bandan line, including the demolition areas of Blocks E and F as well as the Kampung Bandan Block A area. From the train, the group directly inspected the existing conditions of settlements around the railway lines as part of the initial inventory process.
