PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, known as BRI, continues to reinforce its commitment to supporting the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia through its LinkUMKM platform. As of April 2026, it is recorded that 16.46 million MSME entrepreneurs have utilised the platform to expand market access, enhance business capabilities, and accelerate their transition to higher-tier business classes.

As the application evolves, LinkUMKM has become a digital training tool designed to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs across various regions in Indonesia. Currently, the platform offers six main features along with several supporting facilities, including UMKM Smart, Rumah BUMN, UMKM Media, Community, Digital Showcase, and Business Identification Number (NIB) registration services.

BRI’s Director of Micro, Akhmad Purwakajaya, stated that LinkUMKM was created to address the needs of entrepreneurs in gaining access to market information while improving administrative and business management skills. This initiative is part of BRI’s efforts to strengthen the people’s economy, aligning with the President’s ‘Asta Cita’ mission to build a self-sufficient economy and bolster the national MSME sector.

“Through LinkUMKM, every entrepreneur has the opportunity to participate in high-quality training that is relevant to their business needs. LinkUMKM is also designed as an answer to the primary challenges faced by MSME entrepreneurs, namely limited access to information, training, and development support appropriate to their business stages,” he said.

He added that LinkUMKM is equipped with various integrated features to support capacity building for entrepreneurs. Through this platform, MSMEs can participate in online training with materials tailored to real-world field needs, ensuring the learning process is applicable and aligned with business requirements.

One of the flagship features available is UMKM Smart, which provides specific business development recommendations based on the entrepreneur’s self-assessment results. Additionally, the ‘Self-Assessment Naik Kelas’ feature helps entrepreneurs identify their business capacity through a digital scoring system. Based on these assessments, users receive training recommendations customised to their business category, ranging from traditional MSMEs to developing and modern enterprises.
