PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) continues to drive green transformation in its business operations, which is increasingly evident today. This is demonstrated, among other things, by securing five Indonesia Green Label certificates with Platinum status from the Green Product Council Indonesia (GPCI), strengthening the company’s leadership in developing low-emission building materials in Indonesia.

The five SIG factories that have earned the Indonesia Green Label Platinum certificate are SIG Tuban Factory; PT Semen Tonasa (Pangkep Factory); and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk Narogong Factory, Cilacap Factory, and Lhoknga Factory.

Corporate Secretary of SIG, Vita Mahreyni, stated that this achievement serves as an energy boost for SIG to continue its leadership in green cement innovation and its low-emission derivative products.

“The Indonesia Green Label certificate is tangible proof that the building materials produced by SIG are not only guaranteed in quality and standards but also help customers obtain lower-emission products and build more responsibly,” said Vita Mahreyni, quoted from her statement on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.

She emphasised that SIG consistently applies sustainability principles integrated into the company’s business strategy as a commitment to sustainable development. This commitment is realised through implementing good mining practices, adopting digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in production activities for energy efficiency, utilising waste and rubbish as alternative raw materials and fuels based on circular economy principles, developing renewable energy, and sustainable distribution processes.

By applying sustainability principles at every stage of operations, SIG is able to deliver innovative, high-quality, low-carbon green cement and its derivatives for sturdy and sustainable construction needs. SIG’s green cement is recorded to have up to 38% lower carbon emissions compared to conventional cement (OPC).

Vita Mahreyni added that SIG continues to invite the public and stakeholders to wisely choose responsible building materials and participate in environmental conservation actions. “SIG’s green cement is a solution for low-carbon environmentally friendly construction, which is the work of the nation’s children as a form of care and support for environmental preservation and the earth,” she said.
