Accelerating Electric Motorcycle Adoption amid Energy Security Concerns

Amidst growing attention to energy security and global crude oil supply dynamics, electric vehicles are increasingly viewed as an efficient and sustainable mobility solution for the future. This trend is driving rising consumer interest in electric vehicles as an alternative to daily transportation.

Recent discussions regarding national fuel reserves have been reignited following statements from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, regarding Indonesia’s fuel stock conditions in the context of global geopolitical developments. Whilst the government assures that energy supply remains secure, these concerns have intensified discussions on the importance of energy diversification and electric vehicle development.

In response to these developments, United E-Motor, a domestic electric motorcycle brand by PT Terang Dunia Internusa Tbk, is launching special promotional programmes throughout March to facilitate the public’s transition to electric vehicles.

The promotional offerings are as follows:

  • TX3000 model: Rp 15 million cashback

  • TX1800 and T1800 models: Rp 11 million cashback

  • MX1200 model: Rp 5 million cashback

  • MT1500 model: Rp 2.5 million cashback

  • C2000 model: Rp 1 million cashback or two additional batteries for extended range

  • Avand SC121 and SC122 models: Rp 1.3 million cashback

  • Avand SL150 model: Rp 1 million cashback or one free additional battery

Andrew Mulyadi, Director of PT Terang Dunia Internusa Tbk, stated that global energy developments represent an important opportunity to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in Indonesia.

“Global energy dynamics demonstrate that energy source diversification is increasingly important. Electric vehicles can serve as an efficient mobility solution because they do not rely directly on fossil fuels. We see growing public awareness of electric motorcycles, and United E-Motor wants to be part of this transformation,” Andrew said in an official statement.

He added that the March promotional programme is part of the company’s commitment to expanding public access to electric vehicles.

“Through this promotional programme, we want to give more people the opportunity to experience electric motorcycle riding with low operating costs, practical daily use, and support for more environmentally friendly mobility,” he further stated.

As Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem develops, United E-Motor is optimistic that electric motorcycles will play an important role in the future of national transport, which will be more efficient, modern, and sustainable.
