Academics Applaud Prabowo Administration's Concrete Achievements

A number of concrete achievements presented by President Prabowo Subianto during the mid-2026 Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (20/7) have received widespread appreciation from academics. In his address, the President revealed that his administration has successfully resolved 108 national issues since the start of his term. The presentation covered historic achievements in the economy, food security, and state wealth management. Academics view this as tangible proof that the Prabowo administration is working with measurable results, not mere political rhetoric.

Academic Isthifa Kemal from the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (UMSU) assessed that the President’s presentation demonstrated highly results-oriented leadership. From an educational perspective, he highlighted that these achievements are an important foundation for human resource development towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. “The President did not just talk about hopes, but delivered concrete figures. 108 national issues resolved in less than two years is not a figure to be taken lightly. This is proof that the Prabowo administration is not wasting time on mere promises, but is working to produce measurable and accountable output,” Isthifa stated.

Isthifa specifically highlighted the Free Nutritious Meal programme, which is targeted to reach 82.9 million beneficiaries by the end of 2026. He considers the programme a long-term investment in the quality of the nation’s generation, making them more ready to learn and grow into productive citizens. He also appreciated the ‘ojo dumeh’ (don’t be arrogant) message the President delivered to his staff. “Simple exemplary conduct like this is an unwritten character curriculum that is absorbed by the younger generation,” he added.

Public policy observer Iswadi echoed the appreciation, emphasising that the cabinet session was a moment to see the comprehensive execution of the government’s promises. He detailed several crucial points, including the resolution of 108 national issues in under two years and the establishment of Danantara as the first sovereign wealth institution with assets exceeding US$1,000 billion. He also noted the downstreaming of 26 projects with an investment value of Rp225 trillion, targeting the absorption of 37,000 workers. In the food and energy sectors, Iswadi pointed to record national rice reserves, record farmer exchange rates, and the B50 biodiesel production that has halted diesel imports. “Record rice reserves, record farmer exchange rates, and B50 stopping diesel imports are three macro indicators showing Indonesia is moving towards food and energy self-sufficiency simultaneously,” he stated. The academics concluded that the combination of measurable execution, statesmanship, and a coherent long-term vision represents valuable leadership capital.
