Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The season of releasing full-year financial reports for 2025 has been underway for the past few months. Several issuers on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) have reported solid improvements in their financial performance throughout the full year of 2025.

Based on the financial reports released by each company, this performance improvement is marked by the successful achievement of net profits, after the issuers were still in net loss positions in the same period in 2024.

This success indicates improvements in business strategies, operational efficiency, and consistent revenue growth across various capital market industry sectors.

The Largest Performance Recovery in the Steel and Finance Sectors

The sharpest turnaround in financial performance was recorded by the steel issuer, PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (KRAS). In the full year of 2024, the company recorded a loss of Rp 2.40 trillion.

However, at the close of 2025, KRAS successfully overhauled its financial fundamentals comprehensively and recorded a net profit of Rp 5.77 trillion.

This shift from a loss-making position to a profit in the trillions of rupiah makes it the issuer with the most significant performance transition in the past year, supported by financial restructuring measures and adjustments to the company’s cost of goods sold.

In addition to KRAS, the sharpest financial performance turnaround from a loss to a profit was recorded by PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk (BBKP). In the full year of 2024, the company recorded a very deep loss of Rp 6.33 trillion.

However, at the close of 2025, BBKP successfully managed its financial fundamentals and recorded a net profit of Rp 65.9 billion. This brings BBKP’s net profit per share to Rp 0.35 per share.

In the investment sector, PT Provident Investasi Bersama Tbk (PALM) also showed significant performance recovery. PALM successfully recorded a net profit of Rp 1.85 trillion in 2025, a drastic reversal from a loss of Rp 1.98 trillion in the previous year. This achievement brings PALM’s net profit per share to Rp 117.40 per share.

Contributions to Growth from Issuers in Other Sectors

This operational and financial performance recovery is not only dominated by the two companies above but is widespread among issuers in other sectors. For example, PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk (BANK) recorded a net profit of Rp 150.7 billion, directly supported by revenue growth from Rp 613.4 billion in 2024 to Rp 820.6 billion in 2025.

The entertainment and pharmaceutical sectors also showed good resilience. PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ) successfully recorded a net profit of Rp 60.8 billion, in line with the increase in the company’s business line revenue.

Meanwhile, in the pharmaceutical sector, PT Phapros Tbk (PEHA) successfully turned a net loss of Rp 285.1 billion into a net profit of Rp 28.0 billion within one year.
