ABN AMRO-BNI alliance

JAKARTA (JP): ABN AMRO Bank of the Netherlands and state-owned Bank BNI have entered into a nation-wide cash management network to give their customers in Indonesia access to their combined networks, the Dutch bank said here on Thursday.

The bank said under the agreement ABN AMRO customers could take advantage of BNI's 600-branch national network for outgoing payment, incoming transfer, cash and cheque collection as well as payroll services throughout the country.

"The alliance is an excellent example of cooperation between foreign and local banks to add value to the Indonesian banking sector by offering integrated, cutting-edge banking services to companies in Indonesia," the bank added.
