Singapore, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - ABC Impact, a Singapore-based impact investment firm focused on Asia, has launched the annual report “2025 Impact Review”, available at www.abcimpact.com.sg. Through this report, ABC Impact outlines the progress of the two investment funds it manages throughout 2025, covering portfolio performance, sector dynamics, and approaches to creating added value and measuring impact.

Investment Portfolio Performance and Its Impact

An overview of ABC Impact’s investment portfolio as of 31 December 2025:

  • Total assets under management: approximately USD 900 million

  • Capital deployed by Fund I and II: approximately USD 500 million through 20 investments

  • Five new investments throughout 2025

  • Emission reduction of 2,278,792 tonnes, reaching 5,420,388 patients, and providing benefits to 7,849,842 individuals and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)

A Year Full of Considerations

Facing various challenges throughout 2025, ABC Impact continued to execute its investment strategy in a measured manner — prioritising fundamental conditions over market cycles. CEO David Heng stated, “Sector trade dynamics, AI disruptions to the economy and labour market, and uncertain geopolitical conditions continued to shape 2025, requiring careful consideration.” “ABC Impact’s portfolio companies focus on structural needs — such as energy transition, financial access, and healthcare services — that support societal resilience in the long term. Considerations regarding positive impact are not merely an add-on, but determine the quality of investments.”

Goh Yew Lin, Chairman of ABC Impact, added, “In the long term, the best investment opportunities usually emerge when financial returns align with social impact. Asia is at the centre of these dynamics — a region that urgently needs energy transition, improved financial access, and healthcare service innovations. This drives the emergence of more resilient and long-term impactful companies.”

Asia: Structural Demand and Long-Term Opportunities

Through this report, ABC Impact highlights its geographic and sector priorities once again. With high structural needs, a large population, and still fragmented services, Asia is a strategic ground for private sector players seeking long-term cross-market growth. The report reviews these dynamics in China, India, and Southeast Asia, as well as the positioning of ABC Impact’s investment portfolio in the health, financial inclusion, and climate solutions sectors.

Deepening Strategy in the Health Sector

The 2025 report highlights ABC Impact’s steps in strengthening its focus on the healthcare services sector, encompassing integrated health platforms, dialysis networks, CNS (central nervous system) drugs, to medical technology — reflecting a comprehensive approach along the healthcare services value chain.

In the Philippines, AC Health — an integrated platform encompassing hospitals, clinics, retail pharmacies, and pharmaceutical distribution — continues to expand its national reach. Annual revenue growth of 36% also reflects network expansion and increased service utilisation, in line with demand for private healthcare services that exceeds public system capacity.

In India, DCDC Kidney Care has one of the largest dialysis networks with more than 110,000 sessions per month across over 250 centres in 13 states. Its business model is based on public-private partnerships with government hospitals. Thus, DCDC Kidney Care serves patients enrolled in social insurance programmes, as well as a broader patient segment through its network of standalone centres.

In China, NeuroGen is developing an independent pharmaceutical platform in the central nervous system field, combining a portfolio of neurological therapies with active licensing plans. With around one in three Chinese residents affected by CNS conditions, this platform addresses needs for access and treatment continuity.

In the financial inclusion sector, Vistaar Finance disbursed approximately INR 17 billion (about USD 190 million) in financing throughout 2025, with a total loan portfolio exceeding INR 50 billion (about USD 600 million). The company serves MSMEs in rural and semi-urban areas through a branch-based financing model, with around 35% of customers from rural areas.

Value Creation and Corporate Governance

The report also reviews ABC Impact’s approach as an active minority shareholder, including engagement at the board level, ESG and impact action planning, operational support, and capital strategy. ABC Impact also provides a technical assistance budget funded from management fees to help portfolio companies enhance their capabilities in measuring and reporting positive impact. The governance section covers board structure, investment processes, and transparency approaches in reporting to investors.
