Abandoned Dust-Covered Car Removed by Authorities in Tebet After Week-Long Complaint
Officers from the South Jakarta Transport Sub-Department (Sudinhub) have towed away a sedan that had been left for a week on the roadside next to Tebet Barat Market. The car had become covered in dust.
“The vehicle had been parked improperly at that location for approximately one week,” said Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu, Head of the South Jakarta Sudinhub, when asked for confirmation on Monday (3/8/2026).
Bernad said the enforcement action stemmed from public reports about the vehicle. The removal was carried out on Monday morning.
“Officers from the Tebet Sub-District Transport Enforcement Unit (Satpelhub) communicated and coordinated with the local neighbourhood unit (RT) and residents to follow up on public complaints submitted through the CRM system,” he said.
He said residents had reported the car several times. Officers then arrived and moved the vehicle by pushing it.
The car, which bears a B registration plate, was moved so as not to disrupt the flow of traffic. The reason the owner abandoned the vehicle on the roadside remains unknown.
“The vehicle was repeatedly reported by the public through the CRM system, and every incoming report has been followed up,” he said.
