Aa Gym to launch mass campaign

JAKARTA: The Nation Building Inner-Self Movement, which has
attracted 1.1 million volunteers from across the archipelago
since August, will be launched in Jakarta on Sunday at Medan
Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta.

Bearing slogans such as "Start with oneself, start from the
smallest step and start right now", the movement aims to raise
the nation out of its moral crisis, said initiator Abdullah
Gymnastiar, a popular Muslim cleric known as Aa Gym.

Some 50,000 teachers and students, as well as city
administration staff, plan to attend the launch, which will run
from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The campaign was first launched on Sept. 12 to a crowd of
10,000 at Tegalega Field, Bandung. -- JP
