Indonesia is navigating the correct course as a nation, consistently adhering to an independent and active foreign policy that does not align with any global bloc.

During the past week, several significant political developments have been reported by the Indonesian news agency ANTARA.

President Prabowo Subianto emphasised that Indonesia is following the correct path in responding to global geopolitical dynamics by consistently implementing an independent and active foreign policy that remains non-aligned. The military commander, General Agus Subiyanto, explained that the level 1 alert status implemented across several TNI units forms part of routine readiness exercises, particularly for units operating within the Natural Disaster Rapid Response Force (PRCPB).

The government has prepared contingency scenarios for the hajj pilgrimage, including the possibility of delaying departures or altering routes, following escalating conflict in the Middle East. Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin has reassured the public that there is no need for concern regarding the military alert status previously issued by the TNI.

President Prabowo expressed hope that the worst-case scenario envisioned by various parties in the Middle East will not materialise, particularly following the conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel, which has been ongoing for approximately two weeks.
