A United Nations-sponsored East Timor tribunal issued an arrest

A United Nations-sponsored East Timor tribunal issued an arrest
warrant on Monday for Gen. (ret) Wiranto for his alleged role in
the crimes against humanity that took place before and after the
province's breakaway in 1999. Wiranto was then the chief of Armed
Forces, which was responsible for security of the UN-administered
popular ballot in East Timor.
