VIVA – The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, along with two BGN deputies, Irjen Pol (Purn) Sony Sonjaya and Letjen TNI (Purn) Lodewyk Pusung, as suspects in a corruption case related to the management of the Free Nutritious Meal Program.

“After conducting a series of investigations, today the Attorney General’s Office has named three individuals as suspects in the case of alleged corruption related to the mismanagement of the Free Nutritious Meal Program at the National Nutrition Agency in 2025-2026,” said the Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Mochamad Jeffry, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

After being named as suspects, the three were immediately seen wearing pink detainee vests as they exited the Jampidsus Building of the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday afternoon. The three were escorted out separately and immediately taken to a detention vehicle with their hands cuffed.

So, what are the things that led to Dadan and his associates being named as suspects? Here are some of the facts.

SPPG Foundation Affiliated with Dadan and Associates

The Director of Investigation of the Jampidsus of the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, explained that since January 6, 2025, the government has implemented the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), which is a national priority program carried out through the BGN in the form of providing free nutritious meals.

The government has allocated funds of IDR 85.27 trillion in 2025 and IDR 268 trillion in 2026 from the State Budget for this program. With the large amount of funds allocated, the MBG program should be managed by foundations in each school.

However, in reality, the foundations appointed as partners were foundations affiliated with officials or employees of the BGN who did not meet the requirements to become partners.

“These SPPGs were still appointed by manipulating the verification process on the BGN partner portal with the involvement of the suspects,” he said, quoted from the ANTARA page.

As a result, these unqualified foundations received billions of rupiah in incentives each day and trillions of rupiah each year.

“These affiliated foundations include those owned by Mr. DH (Dadan Hindayana), Mr. SS (Sony Sanjaya), and Mr. LP (Lodewyk Pusung),” he said.

Furthermore, the Attorney General’s Office also revealed the alleged flow of large funds from the program. The foundations affiliated with the suspects are said to have received very large incentives daily.
