A size too large
BUSAN, South Korea: South Korea is already well-known in Indonesia for its sophisticated information technology and leading electronics products ranging from cell phones to computers. Its textile and garment products also have a leading edge back home.
But not as far as clothing for the Busan 2002 Asian Games is concerned.
Indonesian bodybuilding judge Sinatra Kaeses was seen at the athletes' village on Tuesday morning holding a pair of trousers in their pack that had been supplied to him as an Asiad judge. He was accompanied by a local volunteer trying to contact Asiad's logistics department.
"They gave me a pair of trousers that were too large for me. I bet the waist is well above my chest," the diminutive judge told reporters. "I am trying to get them replaced. The organizing committee had actually asked for our sizes but somebody must have made a mistake."--JP
