A real leader of people's hearts
A real leader of people's hearts
From Merdeka
A leader who feels he has been chosen by the people must be
clean, honest and just. He must be an example to the people. He
must be oriented toward the people's welfare. He should not make
scapegoats of people or abuse their rights.
If a leader abuses people's trust and money for his own
interests and that of his family and his cronies, the country is
be headed for destruction. The public would be the victims.
Society should avoid electing leaders who have contracted the
hypocrisy virus. These leaders always advise others to do good
while they themselves commit evil deeds and lust for power. They
are capable of exchanging goodness with evil if an evil deed
brings them profit.
If the country is led by corrupt leaders, impostors who rule
with an iron hand, it is only a matter of time before the
emergence of a people's power. The latter is not concerned with
the might of the state despite its magnitude. If conditions
warrant it, people would willingly sacrifice themselves to fight
for truth and their rights, perhaps at the expense of their
lives. This clearly endangers the nation's unity. It may even
lead to destruction.
Let's hope it does not happen.
