A novel deceit

A middle-aged unmarried lady who happens to be a parishioner of a church has become the victim of a new mode of deceit. One day when walking on one of Jakarta's main streets, she felt a hand touching her shoulder and a stranger (also a woman) accosted her under the pretext of asking for some information about the city.

Looking at the stranger, she felt the sensation of being hypnotized. From that moment on this parishioner was completely under the influence of the woman. She was asked many questions, to which she was quite willing to answer. And the questions included whether she had a bank account. She gave an affirmative answer.

Then the woman told her to go home and get the bank account book. They went together to the bank. The victim authorized the deceiver to receive all the money (her life savings) to a total of Rp 40 million. With such a huge amount of cash the stranger quickly disappeared. The deceived only came to her senses at home, but she could do nothing but condemn the foreigner's diabolical trick. A tragedy in real life!
