A Mustahik Recipient of Baznas Scholarship Successfully Opens Access to Education
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Baznas Cendekia Beasiswa (BCB) has successfully propelled Niko Syahputra, a mustahik, to a thriving career as a teacher at an international school, while also opening educational access for children in need through the Brainboost Education platform he established.
The BCB alumnus, Niko Syahputra, stated in Jakarta on Thursday that his journey as a scholarship recipient marked the starting point that led him to his current position, paving the way for his career in international education.
“This journey has taught me that education is not merely a profession, but a path of devotion. Every piece of knowledge shared and every child guided represents a tangible investment in a better future,” he said.
An alumnus of Albukhary International University in Malaysia with a degree in Elementary Education (Honours), he hopes the BCB Programme will be expanded to reach communities that truly need educational access.
He views this success as reflecting how zakat management through educational programmes can serve as a catalyst for social change.
Idy explained that the BCB Programme is part of Baznas’s efforts to support the realisation of Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045.
“This also aligns with the government’s AstaCita, particularly in building superior human resources through quality education,” he stated.
According to him, Niko Syahputra is a tangible proof of how BCB can shape a generation that is not only job-ready but also ready to make an impact.
“For us, education is one of the most effective weapons to break the chain of poverty. We hope Niko’s success as a BCB recipient alumnus can inspire Indonesian youth, especially other scholarship recipients,” said Idy Muzayyad.
