A modest figure

In just one month, the special session of the People's
Consultative Assembly (MPR) will be convened. It is expected that
this special session will produce policies that will help the
Indonesian people, now suffering severely from the protracted
economic crisis, emerge from the crisis.

Today, the ordinary people need a national leader who does not
prioritize his or her own interests. The ordinary people do not
need leaders who are stubborn and only good at quarreling, while
knowing nothing of what the people need.

The modesty of Pak Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono should remain
fresh in our memories. His conduct indicates that he may be a
good father to the nation, bringing everybody calm and comfort.
It seems that Pak Susilo is acceptable to people from all walks
of life.

It is for this reason that I, like many other people, also
hope that he will be elected vice president during the upcoming
special session of the People's Consultative Assembly. It is
hoped that Ibu Megawati Soekarnoputri and Pak Susilo will lift
this nation out of its economic difficulties.
