The Indonesian automotive market is set to welcome the latest electric vehicle from Omoda & Jaecoo, the Omoda O4, which features artificial intelligence-based technology to attract local consumers.

During a preview session, the vehicle was observed to adopt a ‘Cyber Mecha Design’ philosophy. This design language blends modern electric vehicle characteristics with futuristic touches inspired by science fiction. The result is a look distinct from typical electric SUVs, with sharp body lines and aggressive proportions. The Omoda O4 features a closed front grille, a hallmark of electric vehicles.

As a pure electric vehicle, the Omoda O4 is equipped with a 65.05 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a range of up to 553 kilometres based on NEDC testing. The car supports DC fast charging up to 119 kW, allowing a charge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes. For performance, the electric motor produces a maximum output of 160 kW and 275 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

Omoda & Jaecoo stated that the launch in Indonesia is the first step in the global expansion of its Super AI Cockpit technology, with marketing scheduled to begin in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries in the fourth quarter of 2026.
