A Look at Ramadan MBG Menu Preparation at SPPG, 'Mothers Can Check Price Details'
During Ramadan, the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) Pangauban in Batujajar, West Bandung Regency, West Java, continues to operate to ensure the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme conceived by President Prabowo Subianto runs while maintaining quality. Republika had the opportunity to observe directly the process of presenting the menu during the fasting month on Thursday (5/3/2026). Dozens of volunteers from SPPG Pangauban Batujajar were seen busy packaging Ramadan-specific menus. During the fasting month, dry meal packages are distributed to beneficiaries so they can take them home and consume them at iftar. The menus distributed have already undergone nutritionist consideration, including items such as packaged milk, bread, apples, oranges, dates, and eggs. These foods are packed in blue bags to be distributed to 4,000 MBG beneficiaries in Pangauban, Batujajar subdistrict. Thousands of MBG packages were seen neatly lined up in the main room of SPPG Pangauban. Occasionally, volunteers re-check at random to ensure the Ramadan MBG packages comply with the defined portions. “These provisions, God willing, are safe; the contents are the best. We chose the best dried menu,” said the owner of SPPG Pangauban, Hendrik Irawan. Hendrik revealed that the MBG items selected have undergone discussion and assessment by nutritionists. In addition, the Ramadan MBG packages have also been equipped with price details to ensure that the packages are prepared in accordance with the rules. “Now the rules are stricter than BGN, that the Rp 10,000 price must be shown, such as the price of eggs, how much for milk, this up to Rp 60,000 for 6 days. If this is not fulfilled, it must be reported. The supervising mothers can check the price details,” said Hendrik.
