A Jumbo Entertainment Company Aims for IPO, Allegedly Owned by Raffi Ahmad
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) signalled that there will be one entertainment company entering the Initial Public Offering (IPO) pipeline with a jumbo fresh fund. Although not explicitly naming the company, BEI’s Corporate Valuation Director I Gede Nyoman Yetna said the company operates in the entertainment industry and has a zoo. ‘Not a production house but related to something that we can actually enjoy in terms of entertainment. That is, if children want us to educate them, there is a zoo; that is tangible we can see,’ Nyoman told reporters at the BEI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, 19 May 2026.
Further, Nyoman said the fundraising value of the prospective listed company is relatively the largest among the pipeline issuers. ‘There are production houses too, but if we compare the process, this one is three times bigger,’ he added.
According to CNBC’s reports, one of the largest entertainment companies rumoured to list on the exchange is RANS Entertainment. RANS is known to be developing a zoo in Kawasan PIK 2, North Jakarta. The company, owned by artist Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina, had previously indicated its IPO plans at a 2023 press conference for ‘Rans Family is Growing’.
‘We are in the process, hopefully RANS to the moon. This is also slow,’ Raffi Ahmad, then President Commissioner of RANS Entertainment, said at a press conference at Alila SCBD, Central Jakarta, in early February 2023. He also confirmed that the five-year-old company currently had a valuation of around Rp 3 trillion, a figure that had more than doubled in about a year.
As information, as of 30 April 2026, one company had been listed on BEI with funds raised of Rp 0.30 trillion. To date, 15 companies are in BEI’s stock listing pipeline. (ayh/ayh)
