A Guide to Sa'i Between Shafa and Marwah: Route and Number of Laps
Sa’i is one of the important rituals in Umrah and Hajj. However, many pilgrims sometimes make mistakes in its implementation, starting from the number of laps to the direction of the Sa’i. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia explains that during Sa’i, pilgrims complete seven laps. Sa’i begins at Bukit Shafa and ends at Bukit Marwah. Here is a guide to Sa’i between Shafa and Marwah.
Sa’i Route:
Starts from Shafa towards Marwah. This counts as one lap.
From Marwah, return to Shafa. This is the next lap. Repeat until seven laps are completed.

Advice for Hajj Pilgrims While in Arafah
The Wukuf ritual in Arafah is the core of the Hajj pilgrimage. During its implementation in Arafah, all servants of Allah perform Wukuf wearing the same color and type of clothing, namely white ihram cloth.
Quoting from the official 1447 H/2026 M Hajj and Umrah Guidance Book of the Ministry of Hajj, all Hajj pilgrims in Arafah are advised to:
Maintain order when getting off the bus and entering the tents;
Place belongings neatly and do not rush for space inside the tents. The tents are equipped with air conditioning provided by the maktab;
Maintain a peaceful atmosphere for worship while in Arafah because all facilities and needs of Hajj pilgrims are taken care of by the maktab, starting from the placement of pilgrims in tents upon arrival, the provision of transportation to Muzdalifah and Mina, the handling of lost, sick, or deceased Hajj pilgrims, and worship guidance services;
Maintain health by consuming the food rations received while in Arafah;
Prioritize worship by reciting Talbiyah, Dhikr, and prayers frequently;
Queue patiently when using the limited bathroom/toilet facilities;
Maintain modesty when in the tents and when entering and exiting the bathroom because pilgrims are in a state of ihram;
Actively participate and listen attentively to all lectures delivered by the kloter officials before the time of Wukuf arrives;
Recite Talbiyah, Dhikr, Istighfar, Tahlil, and prayers just before the time of Wukuf arrives;
Carry out the following activities when the time of Wukuf arrives:
listen to the Wukuf sermon;
perform the Zuhur and Asar prayers in congregation, combined and shortened;
perform the Wukuf prayer;
Contact the kloter officials if there are problems regarding worship and health;
