A glimpse of the camaraderie between Prabowo, SBY and Jokowi during a cordial gathering at the Presidential Palace

President Prabowo Subianto invited former presidents and vice presidents to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday night, 3 March 2026. He did not only invite former leaders; the heads of political parties were also invited to attend. Prabowo listened to their inputs regarding Indonesia’s stance on responding to the rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The President opened a space for dialogue with the former presidents, vice presidents, and foreign ministers to enrich perspectives and reaffirm Indonesia’s position. As information, the situation in the Middle East has intensified after Israel and the United States launched attacks on Iran last Saturday, which Tehran retaliated with attacks on Israel and on several U.S. military bases in the region. Indonesia stated its readiness to facilitate dialogue to help restore a conducive security situation.
