A Brief Pause Amid Forest Fires: Manggala Agni Personnel Do Not Forget to Pray

Amid the thick smoke and burning peatland, Manggala Agni personnel continued to fulfil their religious obligations. Personnel from Manggala Agni Daops Kalimantan VIII/Pontianak took time to perform prayers at the forest and land fire site in Sekunder C, Rasau Jaya 3, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, on Thursday (27/8/2026). The brief pause during their duties became a portrait of the steadfastness of officers struggling to deal with the fires. The Ministry of Forestry has deployed 758 Manggala Agni personnel, reinforced by 45 additional personnel from Java, Sulawesi, and South Kalimantan to support the handling of forest and land fires, particularly in West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
