The 2026 DPR Hajj Oversight Team stated that 99,982 pilgrims will move from Mecca to Medina starting 7 June. They are the second wave of pilgrims who have completed their Hajj rituals at Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina from 9-13 Dhu al-Hijjah. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Saan Mustofa urged the government, specifically the Madinah Work Unit, to prepare for the movement of pilgrims to ensure smooth operations and prevent issues for the pilgrims. Ensure all pilgrims can access it, and confirm other services such as accommodation, meals, healthcare, and more,’ he said in Madinah on Monday (1 June).
