We extend our highest appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for his zero-tolerance commitment towards all forms of abuse of power, especially concerning the firm legal action taken within the National Nutrition Agency,” said Spokesperson for the 98 Resolution Network, Agus Teddy, in a written statement, Thursday (June 4, 2026).

Agus emphasized that the program for improving nutrition and food security is a key pillar towards achieving a Golden Indonesia in 2045. He believes that the President’s bold move in combating corruption is proof that the former Minister of Defense will not allow strategic government agendas to be undermined by personal or group interests.

“This is a clear example of clean, courageous leadership that fully supports the interests of the people,” said Agus.

The 98 Resolution Network also stated that Prabowo’s firmness in addressing abuse of power has a strong historical connection with the ideals of the 1998 Reformasi. According to Agus, more than two decades ago, the nation agreed to make a total correction to the governance of the country with one main mandate: to eradicate corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN), in order to realize a clean government and social justice.

“What we are witnessing today under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto is a real manifestation of the settlement of the historical debt of the 98 Reformasi,” said Agus.

In addition, Agus said that this step is a strong signal that the eradication of corruption in this era will not discriminate. He affirmed that anyone who dares to touch the rights of the people will face the law.

“The 98 Reformasi demands that the mandate of the people be returned to the people, and that every rupiah of state funds must be accounted for for the benefit of the public,” he explained.

Agus said that this legal action proves that the spirit of 98 has never faded. According to him, this spirit has transformed into a firm executive commitment under the command of President Prabowo.

Agus said that the BGN was formed with a sacred mandate that is directly related to the needs of future generations of Indonesia. This, he said, is the main foundation for creating a generation that is intelligent, competitive, and ready to bring Indonesia to compete on the global stage.

“The law in Indonesia is upright, impartial, and there is no room for anyone to sacrifice the rights of Indonesian children. When we talk about the nutrition of our children, we are talking about the fate of this nation in the next twenty or thirty years,” said Teddy.

According to him, President Prabowo understands this very well. He affirmed that the President will not tolerate sectoral egos, personal greed, or group interests.

“Personal interests must be put second, and the interests of the people and the nation must be prioritized by officials in Indonesia. Let us not allow President Prabowo Subianto’s program to become an arena for personal greed,” said Agus.

In addition, Agus said that the tactical steps taken by President Prabowo are a good precedent as well as a new chapter in the history of bureaucratic reform in the country. Agus appreciated Prabowo for practicing a leadership philosophy that cleanses the institution from the highest leadership to ensure the health of the organization below.

“This is a real early warning system, that under the leadership of President Prabowo, abuse of power will face firm and uncompromising legal sanctions,” said Agus Teddy.

According to him, this responsive attitude also shows very solid and harmonious coordination between the executive branch and law enforcement agencies.

“The transparency of this process actually increases public trust and restores the country’s authority in the eyes of the people and the international community - a clean democratic climate, which was dreamed of by the reformers of the past,” said Agus. (knv/fjp)
