98,000 Train Tickets Still Available for Lebaran Holiday Exodus 2026
Ninety-eight thousand train tickets remain available for booking during the Lebaran holiday travel period, running from 11 to 20 March 2026.
PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta ensures that all fleet vehicles are in optimal condition through disciplined and safety-standard-compliant regular maintenance. Inspections are conducted on monthly, three-monthly, six-monthly, twelve-monthly and twenty-four-monthly cycles, according to Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in an official statement issued on Friday, 27 February 2026.
Currently, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has recorded 541,000 tickets sold for the 2026 Lebaran transport period.
Overall, during the Lebaran transport period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta operates a total of 86 long-distance train journeys per day. This comprises 68 regular trains, 12 additional trains from Gambir Station, and 6 additional trains from Pasar Senen Station.
The fleet consists of 50 locomotives, 12 diesel rail trains (KRD), 257 executive-class, economy-class and restaurant cars, plus 35 generator cars.
Franoto stated that all vehicles undergo comprehensive inspections covering technical aspects, braking systems, electrical systems and operational safety equipment.
“We urge the public to plan their journeys carefully and make bookings through official KAI channels,” Franoto said.
He added that with the readiness of facilities and the addition of train services, the company is confident the 2026 Lebaran transport period will proceed smoothly and provide passengers with safe and comfortable travel experiences.
