98,000 Tickets Remain Available for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Train Journey

Approximately 98,000 train tickets remain available for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr travel period as of Thursday, 26 February 2026.

Previously, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta reported that 541,000 tickets had been sold for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr travel period, from 11 March 2026 to 1 April 2026, departing from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station.

“We encourage the public to plan their trips and take advantage of the remaining tickets. Don’t wait until close to the departure date because sales are constantly changing,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in an official statement received by Kompas.com on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

KAI stated that the data is dynamic because the ticket booking process is still ongoing in real time.

During the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta operates a total of 86 long-distance train journeys per day, consisting of:

Specifically for the Daop 1 Jakarta area, there are 329,000 seats available on long-distance commercial economy trains for the period of 14-29 March 2026.

So far, 226,000 train tickets have been sold or reserved.

For the Pangrango local commercial economy train for the same period, 46,000 seats are available.

“This program is expected to help people obtain safe, comfortable, punctual, and affordable transportation during the Eid period,” said Franoto.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta advises the public to book tickets through the Access by KAI application and official channels, avoid purchasing through unofficial channels, and regularly check if tickets for a specific date are sold out.
