A total of 97 children from Beneficiary Families (KPM) of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) across Lampung Province have been accepted into universities through various admission pathways for the 2026 academic year. Some have already been designated as recipients of the KIP Kuliah scholarship, while others are currently undergoing the selection process. PKH Lampung Province Team Leader Slamet Riyadi stressed that KIP Kuliah support for children of PKH beneficiaries is a necessity to ensure their studies are completed up to the undergraduate level. This is considering that the family backgrounds of these PKH beneficiaries are underprivileged families in deciles 1 to 4. “We hope that universities will also support the KIP Kuliah scholarship for these 97 PKH children,” he said in a written statement on Tuesday (24/6/2026). Through the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN), he said, campuses can identify students from PKH beneficiary families via their Population Identification Number (NIK). “It can be confirmed that children from PKH beneficiary families are in the decile 1 to 4 range, meaning they are precisely the right candidates to receive KIP Kuliah,” explained Slamet, who is also an alumnus and former recipient of the PPA/Bidikmisi scholarship at the University of Lampung. He further detailed that the total number of children from Lampung’s PKH beneficiary families who have successfully continued to higher education now stands at 1,066 children in 2026.
