Bekasi Metro Police has prepared hundreds of combined personnel to secure the Eid exodus and Idul Fitri celebrations through Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.

The Head of Bekasi Metro Police City, Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro, stated that the personnel involved come from various institutions, including the TNI, Polri, Transportation Department, Civil Service Police, BPBD, Fire Service, and other related agencies.

“The number of combined personnel involved is 964 personnel,” said Kusumo to media representatives when met at Bekasi City Government Plaza on Thursday (12 March 2026).

“We will also have five posts, two service posts and three security posts (Pospam),” said Kusumo.

Two service posts will be placed in the Giant area on Jalan Ahmad Yani, South Bekasi, and at the Police Post near Bekasi Station, South Bekasi.

Meanwhile, three security posts are located at the Sumber Arta Petrol Station Post on Jalan KH Noer Ali, Pondok Gede, Medan Satria Police Sector Post, and the Police Post at East Bekasi Police Sector.

Kusumo added that the security pattern will be dynamic, adapting to the situation and conditions on the ground during the mudik period.

“Clearly, at the security and service posts there will always be personnel. Meanwhile, reserve personnel at the Police Station and Military District can also be deployed at any time,” he said.

According to Kusumo, congestion is likely to occur especially at points where road repairs are being carried out.

“Especially we anticipate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is estimated that along Jalan Kalimalang and other sections, many two-wheeled vehicle mudik travellers will pass through those road sections,” he said.
