94,000 Bogor Residents Affected by Drought, Facing Clean Water Crisis

A total of 24 sub-districts in Bogor Regency, West Java, have been affected by drought due to the dry season. As a result, 94,002 residents are experiencing difficulties accessing clean water. “The estimated impact of the drought or water crisis covers 24 sub-districts, affecting 94,002 people,” stated the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) on Saturday (25/7/2026). The figure was recorded from 10 June to 24 July 2026. The BPBD reported that hundreds of thousands of litres of clean water have been distributed to the affected areas. “The total water distribution amounts to 752,500 litres,” it noted. The 94,002 affected residents comprise 27,225 households. Meanwhile, 72 villages or wards across the 24 sub-districts have been impacted. “There are 69 locations or distribution points for clean water,” the agency revealed. The affected sub-districts include Ciampea, Cigudeg, Rumpin, Leuwisadeng, Sukajaya, Nanggung, Jasinga, Ciseeng, Cibungbulang, Pamijahan, Dramaga, Cigombong, Megamendung, Tanjungsari, Sukaraja, Babakan Madang, Cariu, Citeureup, Jonggol, Parung, Rancabungur, Kemang, Parungpanjang, and Tenjo.
