93rd CMEF to Take Place Soon, Medical Equipment Industry Exhibition Highlighting Advances in AI, Robotics, and International Collaboration
Shanghai (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - The 93rd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) will take place from 9 to 12 April at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. As the world’s largest medical equipment industry chain exhibition, this year’s event carries the theme “Innovation Fusion, Boundless Evolution” and focuses on cutting-edge technologies and international business cooperation.
Occupying an exhibition area of more than 320,000 square metres, CMEF 93 will feature nearly 5,000 brands and companies from over 20 countries and regions, and is expected to attract more than 200,000 professional visitors and buyers from 150 countries and regions.
This year, CMEF highlights the rapid development of AI with various “AI + healthcare” products that are reshaping the medical equipment industry. One innovation making its global debut is an AI agent capable of “one scan, multiple diagnoses,” allowing it to detect various conditions across different body parts simultaneously. Specialised AI diagnostic software has also been used clinically, while an integrated platform for AI training and inference will enhance computing capabilities for healthcare institutions.
Alongside advances in medical robotics, the exhibition will showcase a range of new products in the fields of surgery, rehabilitation, and elderly care, driving the development of intelligent technologies and precision techniques.
For the first time, CMEF introduces the Future Tech Arena, focusing on three main areas: BCI (brain-computer interface), embodied intelligence, and innovations from universities. This exhibition area will feature cutting-edge products such as AI-based MRI diagnostic systems for Alzheimer’s disease, brain-computer interface systems for assessing and training cognitive disorders, and exoskeleton robots.
CMEF also serves as a major trade hub for the globalisation of companies and industry collaboration. The International Zone will be joined by participants from more than 20 countries and regions, showcasing the latest global innovations from Germany, the United States, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The CMEF’s “We” series of international activities now appears in its latest version, featuring the “WeTalk Stage” involving representatives from foreign consulates, leading industry associations, and multinational companies; the “WeMatch Hub” for targeted matching of buyer needs; and the “International WeTour” providing special tours for international visitors to explore exhibitors’ products. During the event, CMEF will also collaborate with international departments of several leading hospitals to provide tailored medical services, ensuring comprehensive health support for global participants.
Hundreds of forums will be held during the exhibition, bringing together global experts and industry leaders to discuss developments in the healthcare services industry.
The Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP) and the Ministry of Health of Malaysia will collaborate to organise a series of high-level conferences, including the 3rd GHWP Innovative Medical Device Seminar and the ASEAN Forum on Medical Device Innovation and Collaboration (Shanghai). Sessions held at the venue will provide specialised insights into regulatory policies and opportunities in major global markets, to support the harmonisation and alignment of international medical device regulatory frameworks and facilitate more efficient global trade.
